Study by Indian origin researcher finds new way to treat diabetes
The study proposes a way to stimulate the pancreas to produce insulin by using stem cells

Australia’s Monash University recently announced that a study by diabetes experts from the Monash Department of Diabetes, could lead to an improved way of treating Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
The study lead by Indian-origin researcher Dr. Ishant Khurana and Professor Sam El-Osta, if developed into treatment therapies will reduce the need for insulin injections, dietary and activity restrictions and more importantly, eliminate the need for pancreatic transplants in chronic patients.
