Ipsos Global Trustworthiness Index 2021 has shown that armed forces and scientists are the most trustworthy citizens in India; politicians and advertising executives are the least.

Based on the Index, urban Indians trust the armed forces and scientists by sixty-four per cent, teachers by sixty-one per cent and doctors by fifty-eight per cent. Armed forces topped the list of trustworthy citizens even two years ago. The covid pandemic has uplifted the sentiments for scientists acknowledging their effort in fighting against the deadly virus.
