Discussion with Dr. Latika Gupta on 'Muslim girls as citizens in making at school'

Dr. Latika Gupta is an author of Education, Poverty and Gender: Schooling Muslim Girls in India. She's also a Fulbright fellow at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.

The Indian diaspora Washington, D.C metro organized a panel discussion with professor Latika Gupta on Muslim Girls as Citizens in Making at School. The virtual event was hosted by Chaise LaDousa.

“As a researcher, I could not brush aside an ordinary common episode. I kept wondering what had she internalized about the community that she belonged to through the root of education,” said Latika referring a student she met from an Islamic background.
