India’s ambassador to Qatar, Deepak Mittal had discussions in Doha, on Tuesday, with Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekazi, the head of the Taliban’s political office in Doha.

The meeting was held at the invitation of the Taliban at the Indian Embassy in Doha. “The main focus was on safety, security and early return of Indian nationals stranded in Afghanistan.” stated the news release.
