The government will fight Devas abroad, citing SC decision
Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, said today that the government would appeal the adverse international arbitration awards filed by private firm Devas Multimedia, which totaled over US$1.1 billion.

On Tuesday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Antrix Devas satellite deal was "a fraud on the people of India and against the country" by the then-UPA government and those liquidation proceedings against the Bangalore-based company will proceed as per the supreme court's order.
The NCLAT order to close Devas was upheld by the Supreme Court just a day ago.
