The Indo Caribbean Cultural centre, a research and publishing company hosts a series of panel discussion titled “The Indo-Caribbean project” every Sunday evening. They have featured over 162 different speakers from different parts of the world in the past 14 months, to present talks on various aspects of being a part of the Indian Diaspora that lives in the Caribbean.
Last Sunday (18, July 2021), they focused on the Impact of Covid-19 on the Indian Diaspora in Trinidad, Guyana, and Suriname. Primarily, discussing how businesses have been negatively impacted by Covid-19 to the point of having to be shut down. They also talked about the challenges encountered by the Indo-Caribbean business owners and the countermeasures taken to protect their businesses during the pandemic.
