Three Indian NGOs working on women empowerment receive $2.5Mn Google funding
Google.org president Jacquelline Fuller said, “Globally, women have been nearly twice as likely to lose their jobs during COVID-19 as men. The pandemic recovery must be an inclusive one, and we know that when we invest in women and girls, we all benefit.”
Google.org recently announced 34 selected organizations that will receive funding to work toward women empowerment as part of their Impact Challenge for Women and girls. The list included three Indian organizations, Samhita- Collective Good Foundation (CGF), Pratham Education Foundation and SwaTaleem Foundation.
Announcing the grant, Google said “Each of these organizations received funding between $300,000 and $1 million, as well as opportunities for mentorship and support from Google.”
