Stanford University recently published the global database's top scientists. Around 20 scientists from Lucknow are among the top 2 percent of scientists in the world. There are 2,042 Indian scientists among the 1,86,177 on the list.
Professor John P. Loannidis of Stanford University and his colleagues developed the report, which was published by Elsevier. On the list are scientists working in chemistry, nanoscience, mechanical engineering, material science, bioinformatics, automation, energy, geology and environmental engineering.
