Two Indian films win Amplify Voices award at TIFF

TIFF’s amplify voices awards are given to three best feature films made by under-represented filmmakers. The winners receive a cash prize of $10,000 each.

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on  Sunday announced its award recipients for the 47th edition of the Festival, which includes two Indian films in the Amplify Voices category.

The Amplify Voices Award for Best Canadian Feature Film was won by Indo-Canadian director Nisha Pahuja’s ‘To Kill A Tiger’, while Vinay Shukla’s documentary, ‘While We Watched’ bagged the Amplify Voices Award.
