U.S Navy Chief to visit India to bolster bilateral ties
The United States designated India as a Major Defense Partner in 2016. This meeting will further the partnership and reaffirm the growing level of naval cooperation between the two nations.

U.S Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Mike Gilday is scheduled to travel to India on a five-day visit to meet his Indian counterpart Chief of Naval Staff Adm. Karambir Singh as well as other senior leaders of the Indian Navy and government.
“This visit is a great opportunity for me to meet with my counterpart in India and discuss areas for continued mutual cooperation. No doubt, there are many areas where we can partner and collaborate.” Gilday said in announcing the visit.
I look forward to meeting with Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh & leaders from the @indiannavy & government. India is one of our closest strategic partners & our relationship is a stronghold of a #FreeAndOpenIndoPacific
