NRI businessman steps in to save Indian on death row in UAE

MA Yusuffali pays blood money of Rs one crore to save Becks Krishnan, who was on a death row in the UAE for killing a Sudanese boy in 2012

Sentenced to death by UAE Supreme Court, 45-year-old Becks Krishnan had given up all hopes on life and returning back to his family in Puthenchira – a village tucked in Thrissur district of Kerala.

Languishing in Al Wathba prison in Abu Dhabi for the past seven years, Krishnan was found guilty of killing a young Sudanese boy when he recklessly drove and rammed his car into a group of children in September 2012.
