UGC to implement regulations governing international universities in two months
The UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar said, "Recently, I have met a few ambassadors of several countries and many of them are showing interest to establish their campuses in India."
The University Grants Commission (UGC) is developing a policy to allow international universities to establish campuses in India, announced UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar on Wednesday at the Indian Education Summit.
Kumar said during a panel discussion on 'One year into NEP,' that certain countries have expressed interest in entering the Indian higher education field, and that the higher education authority will develop a regulation to allow this in the next two months.
