UK prime minister Boris Johnson reached India on Thursday, April 21 for his two-day visit with Narendra Modi. Meanwhile his office, No 10, confirmed the details of the deals he will offer during talks.
Downing Street said that the UK and Indian businesses will confirm more than £1 billion, creating almost 11,000 jobs across the UK. It will come in the form of new investments and export deals in areas from software engineering to health.
As Mr. Johnson arrived in India, he took to Twitter to express the potential he sees between the two nations. He said, “ I see vast possibilities for what our two great nations can achieve together. From next-generation 5G telecoms and AI to new partnerships in health research and renewable energy — the UK and India are leading the world.”
