The United Kingdom announced on Thursday that it will be accepting India’s vaccine certificates from the 11th of October. This means that Indians travelling to the country will not have to go through the mandatory quarantine period as long as they are fully vaccinated by Covishield or other UK-approved vaccines.
Taking to twitter to announce the end the minor diplomatic tussle between the two countries, the British High commissioner to India sent out a video statement saying, "From Monday, a traveler from India to the UK, double jabbed with covishield or another vaccine recognized by the UK regulator does not have to quarantine. It will be easier and cheaper to enter the UK. This is great news.”
