India has been ranked as the seventh nationality of the super-rich to have availed of UK's golden visa since the route opened in 2008, a report by a UK-based anti-corruption watchdog said.
In an email shared with Indian Star, Spotlight on Corruption said that "a total of 254 millionaires from India used the Tier 1 (Investor) Visa to settle down in the UK via large investment into the country”.
Investor visas, also called golden visas, are an easy route for rich individuals to settle in developed western countries.
