United Sikhs receives Mississauga’s civic recognition award

United Sikhs is a grass-roots organisation with chapters in America, Asia and Europe that work towards empowering, alleviating and educating underprivileged and minority communities.

The Canada chapter of the UN affiliated global humanitarian organisation, United Sikhs has been awarded the Civic Award of Recognition for volunteering and community involvement for over 10 years in Mississauga, Toronto, Canada.

The award was presented by Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie at the City Hall recently. It also recognised the organisation’s various humanitarian and legal aid projects in which they worked with various communities across the world, including Ukraine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, India, Australia, and Pakistan.
