Authorities in the United States have charged six India-based call centers and their directors with scamming thousands of Americans through bogus calls posing as officials from the Social Security Administration and the Internal Revenue Service.

They were all accused of colluding with E Sampark, a VoIP provider previously indicted, and its Director, Guarav Gupta, to send tens of millions of scam calls to American consumers.
