Paralympian Manoj Sarkar on the importance of a balanced diet
Manoj also narrated his life story, explaining how difficult life was for him when he started his journey as an athlete with a racket bought by his mother for ten rupees and how he realized that the lack of a proper diet was a factor behind his losses at state-level competitions when he was 18.
Indian para-shuttler and Paralympics Bronze Medalist, Manoj Sarkar interacted with over 300 children from 75 schools during the Meet the Champion program at Lalit Arya Mahila Inter College in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, where he discussed the importance of consuming a balanced diet.
“No food is good or bad, eating right just means controlled intake of food. It is also important to take on regular physical activities to digest what we eat, remember, Fitness Ki Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz,” said Manoj.
