Two historic golds for India in World Doubles Squash 2022

Indian squash teams won the finals of mixed and women doubles against England, becoming the first Asian teams to do so.

Indian athletes celebrated two remarkable victories as India won its first pair of gold medals ever in the finals of the 2022 WSF World Doubles Squash Championships at Glasgow.

The event took place in Scotland from April 5 to April 9, over the course of five day where India went into finals on Friday and finished with two golds.

Joshna Chinappa, Dipika Pallikal Karthik, and Saurav Ghosal became the first Asian teams to win the doubles title. The two teams with Karthik beat England in the finals of mixed and the women’s doubles, while England finished first in the men’s doubles.
