With a new rule mandating necessary transit visas for any travel through Europe Union (EU) carriers introduced, around 50 passengers were denied boarding at London’s Heathrow Airport.

This comes after the EU has decided to “punish” the UK by insisting that non-EU citizens must have a transit Schengen visa to fly to the UK on transit flights of its carriers, according to an airline official.
