India-UK to finalize defense technology exchange system
The deal will enable strategic collaboration for India to have "highest level access" to fighter aircraft and jet engine advanced technology.

The British parliament was informed that India and the UK have almost finalized a system for the joint production of advanced defense technology on Thursday, May19.
During the Q&A session in the House of Commons, UK minister for Defence Procurement, Jeremy Quin, confirmed that a letter of arrangement for the same is in the process of being agreed.
If successful, the deal will cover joint research and co-development programs between the two nations, enhancing bilateral ties in defense and making India less reliant on Russia.
