Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra bagged yet another gold at the 2022 Kuortane Games in Finland on June 18. Neeraj won with a throw of 86.69 metres, despite the bad weather conditions.

Chopra got off to a good start in the rain, but his second throw was ruled a foul. The Indian javelin thrower struck the target on his first attempt in the event, got a foul on his second, and then had a severe slip on his third, prompting him to skip the next two attempts. Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad claimed silver with an 86.64 metres throw, while Anderson Peters won bronze with an 84.75 metres throw.
