S Jaishankar to attend 26th Commonwealth Meeting

The leaders of the Commonwealth Member States will discuss topics that are of global concern including climate change, food security, and health issues at the summit.

Indian Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar and the Pakistani Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar are expected to arrive in Kigali, Rwanda, on Thursday for the Commonwealth Summit. However, bilateral meetings have not been scheduled as of yet.

Along with the two, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka's foreign ministers and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih of the Maldives will also be in attendance. Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bilawal Bhutto was supposed to represent his country, however, due to personal reasons, he will not be attending.
