The need for having proper communication strategy to keep the visa applicants informed about the time-line and related details about the visa process also have been highlighted by the Indian officials.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday called for the ambassadors and deputy chiefs of missions of eight countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany and asked them to speed up the process as the complaints in delays of visa process from Indian students was very high.

The official spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, in a tweet claimed, “Senior MEA officials dealing with Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, UK & USA had constructive discussions with corresponding heads of missions/ senior diplomats of these countries about streamlining student visas to Indian nationals.”
