The Cardiff Council approved the site at Llandaff Rowing Club on Saturday with the Antim Sanskar Group Wales (ASGW), and Llandaff Rowing Club for the Hindu and Sikh communities across the UK to safely scatter the ashes of their loved ones in the River Taff in South Wales.

The site at Llandaff Rowing Club is the first-ever in Wales after ASGW’s several years of campaign and the final fundraising before the club opened for all.

The issue of the lack of a dedicated site was first brought to the attention of Cardiff Council by Jaswant Singh, County Councillor, who was a friend of the chair of ASGW.
