WhatsApp has banned nearly 2 million Indian accounts in accordance with the new IT rules

The worldwide average number of accounts that WhatsApp disables each month to prevent misuse on its network is roughly 8 million.

WhatsApp released its compliance report on Monday and reported nearly 2 million Indian accounts were banned by the messaging platform in Oct., and the messaging platform received 500 complaints reports.

"Among end-to-end encrypted messaging platforms, WhatsApp is the market leader in preventing misuse. We have constantly invested in Artificial Intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies, data scientists and experts, and procedures over the years to keep our customers secure on our platform " said WhatsApp spokesperson.
