Celebrating 75 years of Independence: ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ by flagging off ‘Dandi March’ from Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad on 12th March 2021. The celebrations started 75 weeks ahead of Independence day 2021 and will come to an end by 15th August 2023.

‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is a 75-week program initiated by the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate the 75th anniversary of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

"Wishing you all a very Happy 75th Independence Day. May this year of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' bring new energy and consciousness among the citizens of the country: Prime Minister Narendra Modi," tweeted in Hindi.
