Travel between India and Canada is likely to get easier in the near future, as the country's capital Ottawa is expected to ease rules on COVID-19 testing. The Canadian government is expected to change its standards to allow RT-PCR testing of Indian flight passengers at numerous laboratories recognized by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).

Another likely change is the requirement for Indian travelers to be tested in a third nation if they are taking a connecting trip to Canada.
