A Washington-based organisation EcoSikh will plant 450 Guru Nanak sacred forests in Amritsar for the next five years to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the city that falls in 2027.

The five-year initiative, titled "Eco Amritsar 450," will begin on June 27 in honour of Amritsar Foundation Day. The The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), civic society, educational institutions, diaspora, religious, and governmental organisations will all be involved in the campaign.
