US President Biden suspends rules limiting immigrant arrest, deportation

Steve Yale-Loehr, an immigration law professor at Cornell University mentioned that many living in the country illegally will now be hestitant to leave their homes of being imprisoned, even if they're otherwise law-abiding.

An order that focused resources for the arrest and deportation of immigrants on those who were deemed to be a threat to public safety and national security has been postponed by the Biden administration in response to a Texas federal court decision.

The Department of Homeland Security said in a statement on Saturday it will comply by the decision issued this month, even though it "strongly disagrees" and is appealing it.
