The invocation to Mother Tamil, Tamil Nadu's state anthem, was sung at the Vatican as part of Devasahayam Pillai's canonization ceremony. The song was sung by six nuns from Tamil Nadu.

Devasahayam Pillai, who converted to Christianity in the 18th century, was made a saint by Pope Francis after an extraordinary canonization ceremony at the Vatican.
