Employees of Google and Amazon have asked their companies to withdraw Project Nimbus, that provides cloud services to the Israeli government, including the military. According to employees, a $1.2 billion worth contract had been signed with the Israeli government. The cloud services include storage and computational resources and also allows the users to train powerful artificial intelligence.
In a joint letter to the companies, employees have asked for the cancellation of the project to protect Palestinian human rights. They said they do not want to be naive about the harms technology could create.
