Women to be allowed into elite NDA, Indian govt tells SC

The Indian government on Sept. 8 told the Supreme Court that women will be admitted into the National Defence Academy (NDA) for permanent commission into India’s armed forces, media reports said.

The government sought some time to frame guidelines to pave the way for women to take NDA courses. The apex court has given 10 days to the government to reply.
