World Heritage Day is being celebrated globally on April 18 to promote, protect and preserve the monumental beauty of the whole world. The day which is also called as International Day for Monuments and Sites, is an annual global commemoration celebrated with a variety of events including trips to monuments and heritage sites.

India is among the world’s most beautiful countries, recognized for its vibrant culture and interesting history. It is also home to 40 United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Sites. UNESCO works to promote the identification, protection, and preservation of cultural and natural heritage that is of exceptional significance to humanity around the world.
